Quality Belgian Blue Beef Cattle from our family farm to you.

Keesee Farms is located in south-central Arkansas, approximately 45 minutes south of
Little Rock in the quiet little town of Prattsville.  We have been breeding Belgian Blue
Natural Beef Cattle since early 1991, including full blood, pure bred and cross bred.
We do NOT give our cattle steroids, animal by-products or antibiotics.  We feed
ONLY natural grains, grass and hay.  This allows us to provide the best
animals available.

The Origin of Belgian Blue Breed...

The Belgian Blue originated in the Southern part of Belgium in the early 1900's with the breeding of Shorthorns  and a native cattle breed.  They were first dairy cattle but in the 1950's their superior meat qualities were recognized as a result of increasing consumer demands for "healthy" beef.  Belgian Blue coat colors vary from white, blue roan, and black as well as a combination of all three.

Cross Breeding with the Belgian Blue...

The Belgian Blue Bull is the "Ultimate Terminal Sire" for use on all other breeds of cattle.  A first generation crossing greatly increases the yeild at slaughter and meat yeild on the carcass without causing more difficult calvings than any other non-double muscle breeds.  It also greatly improves the quality of meat with less fat and cholesterol!
